Noodle 0.8.7 smooths out two interactions around the collapsible sidebar. Your active pane keeps focus while the sidebar opens or closes, and Response Visualization stays free of transient scrollbar artifacts as the available space changes.
Keep focus on the current pane
Press Ctrl+B or choose Toggle Sidebar from the command palette while working in the URL bar, request, response, or folder pane. Focus now stays on that pane whether the sidebar is hidden or shown, so typing and navigation can continue where you left them.
When the sidebar itself is focused and you hide it, Noodle moves focus to the URL bar or the folder pane because the hidden request tree cannot remain active. g then s still reopens and focuses the sidebar directly.
Keep Response Visualization clean
Opening or closing the sidebar changes the width available to the response pane. Visual JSON and XML responses now adapt without briefly drawing vertical or horizontal scrollbar glyphs that the content does not need. The fix covers both stacked and side-by-side layouts while keeping horizontal scrolling for genuinely long values.
Updated foundations
This release also updates OpenTUI, React, JOSE, Bun types, and the formatting and linting toolchain. The repository now includes GitHub Sponsors metadata and a README link for anyone who wants to support continued maintenance. Noodle remains free and open source.
